Hi and Assalammualaikum, My name is Zulaika Norasyikin binti Rusli. I am often greeted with the call zulaika or ika. I am 18 this year. I am the only daughter and the youngest of 4 siblings. I was born in Selangor and a former student at Pengkalan Permatang High School. My hobby is trying to make cakes and desserts, no matter traditional or modern. Although every attempt was not as perfect as imagined, thank God, my interests were fully supported by the family. I also love to sing, regardless of Malay songs, English songs, and so on. For me this song is an art that conveys a message and describes my situation and feelings at a particular time. My hidden talent is that I can make animated sounds or reduce the sound, but sometimes my voice may sound like a child's My biggest achievement was When I was 13 years old I entered the Selangor canoe club. I joined the club because my brother was the leader there. In the same year I had the opportunity to be the representative of the Selangor kayak group to take place. Mixed feelings, excitement, fear. At that time I was the youngest member but there is no denying that the treatment given by the coaches and other members made me feel comfortable and like a family. My achievement in the competition was runner -up but there was a technical problem that caused my name and my tk2 partner to not be able to advance to the finals. I cried with grief but remained proud of myself for qualifying for the semi -finals. The most historic thing in my life that really affected me was in 2018. Me and my third brother had a road accident on the morning of the first day of school. That year was an important year for us because my brother will sit for the SPM examination and I will sit for the PT3 examination. It’s a bit hard to catch up on learning a lot I missed almost 3 months more. It feels like I only have the opportunity to go to school in 5 or 6 months only with the condition that the doctor still advised me to rest a lot. The doctor once told me that as a result of the accident, I was likely to have seizures, but thanks to the family's prayers, I am still healthy. For me no matter how big our test is in living this life, we have to keep moving forward because quitting is not the reason I was born into the world but I have to learn from the past and fix instead of repeating history.
